Post Online Debate #03 - Modern India still believes in superstitions and astrology.

    Against :
I don't think India believes in superstitions, In 90's when a cat cross our way then v immidiately stops and v didnt do that work and pray to god " oh... god whats wrong. i knw there is gng to be some mishappening with me" these were ours wordings but in today's scenario, people dont care about these supestitions and focus on their work, thats why India is emerging as a 3rd economy strength and expected to be no. 1 in 2022.

    Against :
Big Stars or Politicians are not god, they r normal human beings so dont follow what they follow. Producer break coconut and take god's blessing that doesnt mean they r superstitions that means they believe in god.
India is not a hub of superstitioners but yes many people accept and follow blindly what they r told by the pandits and gurus but as the days r passing on, Indian people r aware from this curse and do his/her work without any hesitation. But if v see as a whole, the percentage of non-superstitioners r much higher....

Through his book "Nine Lives" William Dalrymple narrates the sacred in modern India. What we believe is that Development is deemed only through technological development. But the great Scientists in India are more superstitious than a lay man. More often we meet failures, when no options are left there is always an invoke of superstition in mind. That is why superstitions still exist in modern India.

one thing i would love to say that superstiton is not about believing in god.worship provides an astromical amount of confidence to us.once you perform worship,u are sure that watever cause you will take, you are bound to get the success and this gives you a kind of confidence.now i come to superstitions, superstition is what causes impediment to the development of any particular society.for example sati pratha in india was a superstiton because it directly attacked on the lives of widdowed.we pour tons of milk on the statue of our deities, this act of ours spoils money and push our country back in economical terms.here we can see that there is a thin silverline between superstitons and believing the god.

Post Online Debate #03 - Modern India still believes in superstitions and astrology.

every one in nine villages in india suffer by the curse of superstition.
neverthless to say even today people believe in black magic and sacrificing animals in the name of god.

its not limited to village but has its presence in urban areas or so called cities.
lets take the very happening example of "PAST LIFE REGRESSION" therapy shown on
national television, wher person is taken to past life and his present day suffering roots are found.

the most shocking statement came from an civil servant when justified killing of animal in the name of sacrifice to rain god to end the drought.

conclusion:- although v boast of modernisation these social stigma prevail in society. its education and awareness campaigns which probably will reduce these stigmas..

Giving money to beggars is altogether a different issue many of them can work and are healthy but wont work because of laziness so it is not correct to give money for them.

Yes still people in urban areas too believe in astrology and are superstitious. If you walk out in certain areas in Delhi, you'll find things like a pot, a red cloth, cinnabar, lemon, coconut etc. specially at chowks. According to many this is said black magic. In today's envirronment where stress is surrounding everbody, people run to pandits in order to combat their stress and to find out the solutions to their problems.

    For :
Yes.This is true not just for rural India but also for most of urban India depending upon how broadly you're willing to define superstition.
Where or not the universe was created by a higher power is one thing, but belief in a personal God and practicing religion, any religion, is just another form of superstition which many follow.
There is no middle ground for superstition which quite a few of the educated urbanite forget and thus fail to see that when they point they're fingers at the rural population, they have four fingers pointing back at them.

    Default Superstition is deep rooted

The roots of the superstition are knitted in the System, Which is openly propagating their subjects like astrology which is totally dependent on fooling people by telepathy.

All those dreams and voices , Vashikaran these are all dependent on making people radio active by implants in their spine from which all senses of the body are controlled like vision and hearing. Those people also gets implanted and connect through radio waves (Satellite links) and share all your thoughts and eye view . Knowing all your secrets through telepathy they write predictions . Mostly they are connected to both the parties , for example job seeker and the Employer, and can affect their decisions through telepathy radio linking.
