Default [CAT 2011] The Word Usage Thread

    Hello friends

The VA/RC section in the few CAT exams has laid some stress on word usage. In the last 2 years, depending upon the slot, there have been 2-3 questions based on this out of 20. To strengthen this area, I am starting a new Word Usage thread for CAT 2011.

I will post a set of words everyday along with their meanings and then use them in a sentence. I request other users to actively participate and post similar sets as well. While posting, please give a set number so that things remain organized.

I hope that everyone will help keep the thread clean & legible.
